Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum is a historic Savannah museum showcasing maritime artifacts, ship models, and beautiful gardens in the downtown Historic District.
Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum is a historic Savannah attraction located in the elegant William Scarbrough House in the downtown Historic District. Built in 1819, the Greek Revival landmark celebrates the city’s maritime history through ship models, nautical artwork, and rare maritime artifacts. The museum also features one of the largest private gardens in the historic district, designed in the style of a 19th-century parlor garden. Seasonal events, concerts, and special gatherings are occasionally held in the beautiful courtyard and grounds. Together, the historic home, gardens, and maritime exhibits make it one of Savannah’s most fascinating hidden gems.
